Coveril-AM 8/10 mg Tablet helps lower high blood pressure (hypertension) by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more freely throughout your body. This effect reduces your risk of future health issues such as strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. While you may not notice immediate benefits from the medication, it plays a crucial role in maintaining your long-term health. It’s important to take it consistently as prescribed, even if you start feeling better, to ensure its effectiveness.
Coveril-AM 8/10 mg Tablet is prescribed for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure). This medication combines two active ingredients to effectively control blood pressure when a single drug is insufficient. By lowering elevated blood pressure, it helps reduce the risk of future heart attacks and strokes. You can take the tablet at any time of day and on an empty stomach, but it's advisable to take it at the same time daily for consistency. Continue taking it as long as your doctor recommends; do not discontinue the medication on your own, even if you feel fine, as hypertension often presents no symptoms and stopping treatment may worsen your condition. To further manage your blood pressure, engage in regular physical activity, adopt a healthy diet, and maintain a healthy weight. While taking this medication, adhere closely to your doctor's instructions. Potential side effects include swelling of the ankles, headaches, cough, weakness, and fatigue. Dizziness may also occur, so avoid driving or engaging in activities that require alertness until you understand how this medication affects you. Coveril-AM may increase potassium levels in the blood, so it's advisable to limit foods or supplements high in potassium. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels may be required during treatment. Inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney issues prior to starting the medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider for guidance before taking this tablet. Additionally, inform your doctor about any other medications you are currently using, particularly those for heart conditions or hypertension.
