Medcip is a technology platform that connects patients with independent, licensed pharmacies and provides software services to healthcare providers. Medcip does not sell, stock, price, dispense or deliver medicines. Every order is a direct transaction between the patient and the pharmacy, which remains the seller of record under its own drug licence and GSTIN. Invoices are issued by the pharmacy.
Medicines classified as prescription-only (Schedule H/H1) require a valid prescription uploaded by the patient and verified by the pharmacy's registered pharmacist before dispensing. Schedule X medicines are not available through the platform. Pharmacies are solely responsible for lawful dispensing.
Payments are made by the patient directly to the pharmacy's UPI ID (or as cash on delivery/pickup). Medcip does not collect, hold or route funds and charges no commission on orders. Refunds for cancelled or rejected orders are made by the pharmacy directly to the patient; the platform provides tracking of refund status but is not a party to the payment.
Accounts are personal, secured by phone-number OTP. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of information you provide (including, for pharmacies, licence and tax details). We may suspend accounts that misuse the platform, violate law, or endanger users.
Patients may cancel an order before the pharmacy begins preparing it. Orders unpaid beyond the stated window may be cancelled automatically. Pharmacies may reject orders they cannot lawfully or practically fulfil, stating a reason.
Digital-infrastructure and consultation services for clinics, hospitals and other providers are governed by the written proposal agreed for each engagement, which prevails over these terms for that engagement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Medcip's liability in connection with the platform is limited to the subscription fees paid to us for the period concerned. Medcip is not liable for the acts or omissions of pharmacies, including dispensing errors — such matters are between patient and pharmacy, though we will assist in good faith.
These terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.
